UPSIDE DOWN - Balancing Act

The design incipit starts from a tension, a shift in center of gravity that seeks a new form of balance. The project investigates the basic elements of a table: a surface and its support. A top with a circular form is supported by a single thin metal tube that through folds, rotations and twists seek the slightest gesture of support. 

 

L’incipit progettuale parte da una tensione, uno spostamento di baricentro che cerca una nuova forma di equilibrio. Il progetto indaga gli elementi basilari di un tavolo: un piano e il suo supporto. Un piano di forma circolare viene sostenuto da un unico sottile tubo metallico che attraverso pieghe, rotazioni e torsioni cerca il minimo gesto di supporto.
